Technical Specifications FAQ

Standard grade: 85–95% porosity (ASTM D2856). High-purity grade: 90–98%. High-temperature grade: 80–92%. All PF-160 industrial dehumidifier foam copper cores use 90–95% porosity for maximum condensation surface area (15 m² in a single unit). Custom porosities between 75–98% available on request.
Copper foam thermal conductivity: 15–25 W/m·K (standard), 20–30 W/m·K (high-conductivity grade), measured at 85% porosity per ASTM E1461. Copper foam provides the highest thermal conductivity of all foam metals — critical for heat exchangers, heat pipes, and PF-160 industrial condensation systems where 15 m² of surface area operates at peak thermal performance.
For standard commercial kitchen hood applications: 304L is recommended and NFPA 96 compliant (1,650°F rated). For coastal kitchen environments or dishwasher-heavy cleaning cycles with chloride exposure: 316L's molybdenum content gives superior chloride corrosion resistance.
